How do I check my VoIP handset’s voicemail remotely?

There are multiple ways to check your voicemail remotely. Below are instructions but the authoritative source for this information can be found at Infrastructure & Communication Technology Services (ICT) / Telecommunications webpages about phone features (or more specifically the Voicemail page)

Check voicemail using a phone:

  1. Dial 273-1000 from any phone (or 31000 from campus numbers)
  2. Press the * button.
  3. Enter your 5 digit phone number and password.
  4. Follow the voice prompts.

Check voicemail using a computer:

Voicemail for VoIP phones can be accessed and downloaded via the Cisco Unity Connection Web Inbox available at https://unityconnection.voip.ufl.edu/inbox (login with your Gatorlink username and password.)

This URL often results in an error (picture below). If this occurs and you are off-campus, run the VPN and try again. If it continues, place the cursor in the addressbar of your browser and hit enter (do not simply click the refresh icon to reload the page or it will not work).

Cisco error page showing "HTTP Status 403 - access to the specified resource has been forbidden"
If you get this error, reload the page by placing your cursor in the browser’s addressbar and hitting enter.

NOTE: This page can also be reached from the Cisco Personal Communications Assistant (aka VoiceMail Assistant) which allows you to change various voicemail settings at https://unityconnection.voip.ufl.edu/ciscopca.
